| The majority of corps members live with roommates in Upper Manhattan, the Bronx, or Brooklyn. Many corps members live with other corps members they met during induction and institute. These rental rates reflect those typically paid by corps members. Because of New York City's extensive public transportation system, corps members are able to live in many different neighborhoods throughout the city. Teach For America New York City provides moving resources upon joining the corps, and most corps members are able to find affordable and convenient housing by early to mid-August. |
