Admissions
The Admissions team works to ensure that our incoming corps members are highly qualified and equipped for success in the classroom by designing and implementing efficient, comprehensive, and transparent application and interview processes. The team also oversees Teach For America’s efforts to inspire admitted applicants to join our corps, place them in teaching positions, and help bridge the gap between college and the beginning of the school year with transitional financial aid.
Alumni Affairs
The Alumni Affairs team works to foster the development of our alumni network as a force for social change. By providing alumni with pathways to leadership, forums for advancing their thinking on issues of educational reform, and meaningful ways to connect and support each other and Teach For America, we aim to help alumni achieve their individual goals while maximizing the collective impact of the movement for educational equity.
The Finance and Infrastructure team ensures that Teach For America has the financial, administrative, and technological capabilities to support our organizational growth and enables us to meet our short- and long-term goals. The team oversees all financial matters, including accounting operations, planning and analysis, grants and contract administration, and payroll processes, and also manages all facilities, real estate strategy, and purchasing initiatives for the organization.
The Information Technology group within the Finance and Infrastructure team partners with Teach For America’s national and regional teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions and support, empowering teams to more effectively reach their goals. This group also provides the organization with operational, strategic, and fiscal leadership in the innovation and advancement of Teach For America’s technology platform.
Growth Strategy and Development
The Growth Strategy and Development team helps Teach For America fulfill our potential as a force for change by marshaling resources, cultivating public and private sector champions, and strategically seizing opportunities for expansion and revenue growth through its work nationally and regionally.
Human Assets
The Human Assets team drives Teach For America’s growth and success by supporting all teams in attracting, engaging, retaining, and developing staff members. This team ensures that Teach For America is a high-performance organization that provides unparalleled leadership development opportunities and fosters extraordinary, diverse talent.
Marketing
The Marketing team fuels the success of Teach For America by building a strong brand, providing insights-based marketing strategies and materials, and leveraging Teach For America’s digital assets. The team supports national and regional teams to develop and execute marketing strategies and creates and manages Teach For America’s brand identity and positioning within and outside of the organization.
The Office of the Chief Executive and the Office of the President
The Office of the Chief Executive and the Office of the President are responsible for the organization’s overall performance, operations, and effectiveness. The teams work with the National Board of Directors and senior leadership to set our organization’s strategic course, engage and cultivate allies for our mission, and foster a strong organizational culture and strategic alignment throughout our teams and offices.
Public Affairs
The Public Affairs team manages Teach For America’s government affairs, media and communications relationships, research and policy, and legal affairs. The team works to build support in the media, policy, academic, and nonprofit communities for Teach For America’s ongoing efforts, ensuring that our external reputation accurately reflects our programmatic and organizational strength and quality.
Recruitment
The Recruitment team works to enlist this country’s most promising future leaders in the movement to eliminate educational inequity. The team identifies and inspires thousands of potential corps members on college campuses and from multiple career sectors to apply to and join Teach For America. Additionally, the team is responsible for meeting our ambitious goals for the growth and diversity of our corps along racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic lines.
Regional Operations
The Regional Operations team works to foster regional innovation and ensure consistent increases in regional performance by identifying, developing, and overseeing Teach For America’s regional executive directors, who collectively fuel the growth and success of our mission. The team works to ensure that Teach For America’s regions maximize the impact of corps members and alumni, in addition to cultivating diverse and sustainable funding bases to ensure their long-term sustainability.
Teacher Preparation, Support, and Development
The Teacher Preparation, Support, and Development teams work to ensure that new teachers have the initial training and ongoing support necessary to make academic gains and remain lifelong stewards of the movement. The team develops teacher training and staff professional development frameworks, methods, and materials for our pre-service institute and our two-year ongoing training and support program in regions, and drives innovation and consistency in how teachers collect and assess data in order to achieve academic gains with students.
